Rest when you're tired. It seems so simple... but why is it so hard to do sometimes?
Instead of allowing ourselves the rest we need, we "push through the pain" and don't rest like we need to with a brain injury.
Maybe you have started to feel deep guilt for how your symptoms are affecting your life, job, relationships. Maybe you think "if I can finish this one thing, I'll let my brain rest". Maybe you scheduled this thing in advance and don't want to cancel, even though you are feeling very very out of it. Maybe you just want so bad to be "back to normal" that you write off your symptoms, even when they are overwhelming you.
I've been in those places. Whatever it is for you, begin to allow yourself the FREEDOM to rest when you're tired, guilt-free, knowing that your brain is healing as you rest.
