Living with brain injury can be so scary. When it happens, you're suddenly thrown into a "new normal". You don't know how to control your brain, and you feel like a foreigner in your own body. You're tired all the time when you used to have so much energy. Your head hurts constantly. You're overwhelmed by simple tasks. Your friends and family think you "look fine", and expect you to ACT fine too. It's SO hard to explain how you're feeling, because sometimes you don't even know. Sometimes, you think you're crazy. You begin to lose hope. You want SO MUCH to be better...and it's really hard to find anyone who understands. You feel completely alone. I'm here to tell you that I've been there...and so have a lot of other people. There are 1.4 MILLION people diagnosed with TBI each year in the United States. Worldwide, a lot more than that. There's a whole community of brain injury survivors and caregivers that GET IT. You are NOT alone, and there IS hope after head injury. Hang in there. You're gonna make it.💚 XO, Cristabelle
