"This past year living with TBI has really tested my strength..." Sierra's Survivor St

"Traumatic brain injury has taught me more about life than an education ever could. Living with headaches, bad memory, fatigue, constant overstimulation, emotional problems, lack of concentration, confusion, etc, is one of the hardest things to do on a daily basis. Especially when you go from being a person who could do anything & everything to somebody who has to put limits on herself - because if pushed to hard, it only frustrates you more. This past year living with TBI has really tested my strength, and shown me that nobody really understands the severity of something until they go through it themselves. I learned that you have to do what's best for you. When the front door gets slammed in your face, you have to go through the back door. If there's no back door, you have to go through a side door, window, anything. There's always a way; sometimes you just have to look a little harder to find it." -Sierra, TBI Survivor
