"I used to say I was so brave..." - Jessica's Survivor Story

"About one month ago I was involved in a motor vehicle accident. I was just doing my daily routine and took a different route not knowing what that would involve. [This resulted in my 3rd TBI.] I am so thankful for my family and for my uncle and aunt who rushed to the scene. If it weren't for them I don't know how I would've reacted. I thought the first time around [with TBI] was the hardest, butactually in reality, my life changed forever December 1, 2016. I used to say I was so brave and I could do anything I put my mind to. I believe deep inside I can get there once again. I know it's going take a lot of hard work but what with the support I have from my family, and a few closer friends; I can dream of the day everything will be back to the way it was. For some reason God chose me to take this path, even though I may not understand it I have to put my full trust in Him and to realize that I'm not living my life for myself but I'm living my life for Him. I think that is something has played a strong role in my life. No matter how many steps we feel that we take backwards they're always a step ahead for us to reach to if we put our faith in Jesus. I look forward to the journey that God has for planned for me. I know each day's going to be hard but I know that God wouldn't give me anything he couldn't think I could handle. So for 2017, my realistic goal is just to get better. This means improving my attitude and remembering that God is my savior and He will bring me through anything." -Jessica, TBI Survivor ••• ➡️Your quote can be featured!
